TAV (Türkiye Araştırmaları Vakfı)
Based in Istanbul, Türkiye Araştırmaları Vakfı (TAV) is a foundation committed to addressing key societal issues such as human rights, migration, media, social inclusion, and entrepreneurship. Comprising a team of academics and media professionals, TAV focuses on empowering young immigrants by increasing their awareness and knowledge to combat social exclusion.
The foundation's activities in the field of media include organizing workshops, training sessions, and internships to enhance media literacy among young people. TAV aims to support freedom of expression and active participation in society through its innovative projects and strategic vision. Despite being a newly established institution, TAV actively engages in national and international initiatives related to migration and media.
PLUS Institute (Austrian Institute for International Research and Development)
Located in Vienna, the PLUS Institute is an innovative NGO specializing in interdisciplinary projects and sustainable initiatives. It addresses global challenges in areas such as migration, media, the environment, and youth participation. The institute organizes academic conferences, panel discussions, online seminars, and Erasmus+ projects to foster collaboration and raise awareness.
Notable initiatives include "PLUS Green," which focuses on environmental and climate change awareness, "PLUS Debates," which discusses current social and political issues, and "PLUS Youth," which supports young people in media and political participation. With years of academic expertise in migration and media, the PLUS Institute is dedicated to empowering young people and promoting inclusion through media literacy and engagement.
About the Partnership
TAV and PLUS Institute have joined forces to enhance the social inclusion and participation of immigrant youth through media literacy. The partnership leverages TAV’s expertise in media and migration in Türkiye and PLUS Institute’s academic strengths in Austria. Together, they aim to create innovative and sustainable policies that empower disadvantaged youth to actively participate in society while improving their media skills. This collaboration exemplifies the power of transnational cooperation in addressing global challenges.
