About Our Project

"Social Inclusion and Participation of Immigrants Through Media Literacy" is an Erasmus+ project aimed at empowering economically and socially disadvantaged youth, particularly those with a migration background in Türkiye and Austria. The project addresses key priorities of the European Union, such as inclusion, diversity, and media literacy, to combat social exclusion and enhance employability for immigrant youth.

Through workshops, training sessions, online debates, and excursions, the project provides participants with essential media skills and knowledge. It fosters their ability to critically analyze media content, create their own media outputs, and engage in public discussions. By doing so, the project helps participants strengthen their identities, improve their employability in the media sector, and contribute to a more inclusive society.

Organized in partnership between Türkiye Araştırmaları Vakfı (TAV) and PLUS Institute, the project includes activities hosted in Vienna and Istanbul. These include interactive courses on traditional and digital media, visits to prominent media organizations, and a final gala program to share the project’s outcomes. With the support of the Erasmus+ program, this initiative aims to promote active citizenship, equal opportunities, and intercultural dialogue through innovative approaches to media literacy.
